Not sure what this is, spur or bumblefoot? Pics included

I was just checking Scruff over when I noticed his two front feet had what looked like poop on them.

On closer inspection they are attached to his feet and feel a little like soft nails. He doesnt seem in any pai when moving around and when I touched them he didnt move or scream.

Does anyone have any ideas? I hope it's a spur....looked on guinealynx and it looks more like bumblefoot from the pictures but not the description?

It is hard to tell in the pictures, but my opinion is that they are spurs. I would wait for some other, more experienced piggy people to reply though rolleyes

From the position I would say they are foot spurs which can be trimmed carefully with nail scissors or clippers (not too close to the pad). Bumblefoot is usually the foot pad itself.

Not sure as I have not experienced Bumblefoot before, but Clairelove has just had a guinea in with bumblefoot she may be able to help you.

I would also say the beginnings of foot spurs. They are also much more frequent than bumblefoot in well kept guinea pigs - bumblefoot flourishes where piggies have to live in filthy, uncleaned cages or hutches.

Thank you for your help guys I'll keep an eye on it, it's still small at the moment. His cage is always really clean, they live in my bedroom so couldn't handle it if it wasn't! x

Certainly doesnt look like bumblefoot, just the beginnings of a spur.

Also looks like spurs to me, I have 4 boars all kept in the same way and 1 has recurring spurs whilst the others are fine; they're all kept clean as I too have them in my bedroom. I think it's just one of those things and if he's fine in himself and not feeling sad or sorry than I wouldn't worry

I don't have any experience with bumblefoot, but that looks like a spur to me! One of my pigs gets spurs all the time. We mainly leave them alone because she freaks out having them trimmed and I'm afraid of hurting her while trying to help her! If they get really long we will trim them back, but that seldom happens.

One of my girls has a spur on the underneath of her toe that has now turned black
