About Guinea Pigs hair...

Anyways, little Sweets as you all may know has got quite long hair and it doesn't seem to be growing but I know he's hot and this could be why he just would rather sleep alone then snuggle Fez, who knows, maybe he just really doesn't want to sleep by Fez.

So here is the question. If I cut his hair will it grow back and how quickly? He is a cross breed so I'm not sure what he's got in him and if their hair continually grows or not. I would feel so terrible if I cut off his hair and it didn't grow back! I love his long hair but I think for his sake he would be more comfortable having shorter hair.

his hair will grow back and probably quite quickly. I cut my indoor long hairs about 4 weeks ago and they are all desperate for another trim, so give it a go and it will definately keep him a bit cooler in this weather xx
 
His hair should grow back over the course of several weeks (it depends on how long it is).

Most guinea pigs enjoy having short hair, especially in hot weather. However, many piggies quite like sleeping alone or spending only part of the night together when they get older.
