Your girls will be spoilt rotten and they helped Winston through a tough patch when he needed company so they are very special. They will certainly keep you busy, it doesn't take awayt how special Winston and Florrie were but they can help you see a new time in life with two feisty girls :)

I'm heartbroken, I feel like I failed him. I even tried to get him in to see a GP specialist out of town but she's not at work till next week and my vet said he would starve before then. He wasn't swallowing anymore. Poor poor lil man :( thank you to everyone who has held my hand through this journey, it is a learning curve and if I am to get anything out of this. I know far more about piggie anatomy! I know what to look out for and what to do in emergencies. You are a fabulous bunch of people. Much love to you all x
Oh my heart breaks for you been following your story from the beginning. You went above and beyond and should know you gave100%. I prayed for Winston every day! Now he is at peace and popcornning pain free!

Thanks ladies. To be honest I've been plagued all day by it, I just feel in the back of my mind I should have got a second opinion.

I'm so, so sorry for your loss. You did absolutely everything you could. My pig, Frenzy was like that towards the end... she wouldn't swallow anymore, the syringe feeds would just sit in her mouth or dribble out. She had a major infection, I think her poor little body ran out of resources to fight. You went above and beyond caring for him and he was lucky to have someone like you. ((HUGS)) to you.

I think swcond guessing is a normal response. It sounds like both you and Winston gave it a valiant effort! And he's with his beloved Florrie now!

Thanks guys! The girls are flipping awesome! They rep me smiling :) I just spent a fortune on them today. I think they will have their new house eaten by tommorow!

They are so lucky to have you, and all the love you can give. I still have bad days when I feel guilty and really down about loosing my piggy. There are so many what ifs :(, but you know you tried so hard. Now you need to stop being so hard on yourself, after all how many would get up every few hours to feed, for all that time.

I'm so sorry about Winston, you did the best anyone could possibly have done, do not blame yourself for this. Sadly it was just his time. He was surrounded by you and his new friends (the girls), very well loved and looked after. Now he can join Florrie, in peace. Lots of hugs xx

Ohhhhh my... I'm not quite sure how to ask this....but, well, i think Harriet might have done a little bottom burp...... I've never heard this from a piggie, and I was alone with them, but it actually smelled really bad, my son has now renamed her.......egg. is this normal!?!?!?

They do do this.... Most often they end up smelling of cabbage ;)

Just an update, the girls are both coming along great, very different personalities! Popcorning away in their new play den :) IMAG0220.webp
