notty pig!

Lilltle lemmington is a at brush time and as of late hes had a hidden matt!, until today when i found it and he let out an almighty scream!:0
but this not seems awfull close to his skin and seems to irritate him...
any tips on dealing with it ?
can he be bathed during the winter?p
