Today marks the day I had to make the most painful decision in pet parent history.
My little man was put to sleep
Unfortunately oreo had been suffering from extreme uri and lung issues his entire life. From shallow breathing to even swallowing air and it sitting in his tummy.
today, his breathing and clicking noises in his lungs caused a trip to the Er where he fell very critical very quickly and eventually just suffered.
making the decision for my first ever piggy was so hard after a life struggling to make sure he lived his best life. Rip angel...
Now I’m worried about my other guinea

I'm just so worried about my other guinea. He eats and then runs to his hidey again. He’s being so closed off and skittish and it’s upsetting to me.

I feel your pain! To sign the paperwork to end a life is awful! It is the final act of love you can give. You know you end your pet's suffering but it doesn't make it any easier and the feeling of guilt you have is truly awful. I miss my Rainbow Piggy Velvet every day and Christian and Meg now get very upset and traumatised if they are apart for longer than 2 minutes and they are constantly calling to each other if I take one of them out of the hutch.

I am so sorry for the loss of your beautiful piggy. PTS is never an easy choice to ever make and is always the most difficult heartbreaking decision but one we always make with the love we have for them at the forefront of our minds.
