Now THIS is a herd…!

Keeping them all healthy will be quite a job! It may look cute but I am never happy about displays like these; there are too many inherent potential issues that are not obvious to a casual observer.

I sincerely hope that they have enough hay and space because the selection of veg and fruit for show is not exactly a healthy one and more designed to appeal to human watchers rather than for guinea pig welfare, to be honest.

Aww I hope they are all well cared for xx. I’ll just stick to the two I think.

I can tell you from my own experiences that having lots of piggies is LOTS of mucking out, washing, vet visits and plenty of sleepless nights. And a hemorrhaging purse.

If you want to provide a level of care, it is a huge time consuming commitment. ;)

These belong to Masons Cavies, they are well looked after, I consider Sophie a friend of mine.
They don't get those kind of meals every day, I believe that was their valentines day video.
They are cleaned out every single day and have a very good relationship with The Small Pet Vet who travels the midlands providing veterinary care to small furries :)

I’ll be honest - I’m surprised how expensive it is for two! I love them dearly, I can afford to provide for them, but if I had known ( or reasoned the cost properly - I may have thought twice!). Don’t worry - they are family now and I’ll move heaven and earth for them - but they were an eye opener! And the wee! And the poop! 🤣🤣. Am seriously thinking about going back to trying the fleece idea, because I’m going through about £40 per month on Carefresh!

Oh good! Glad to hear that! Are they a rescue?

They aren't, no, although they have taken in large numbers from neglect, got them back to health and rehomed some and kept some, last year a large number of pregnant sows were dumped at the military base they live on which they helped with as well.
Their end goal is to move off base and have their own rescue/sanctuary though.
