So my 3 young girls are settling in well, however last night whilst browsing a pet web site I came across a very sad picture of a Guinea pig free to good home. The cage looked dire & she was looking out longingly. I kept thinking about her throughout the night & decided to contact owner. I'm so glad I did, she was in a filthy cage, no bedding, empty food bowl & a water bottle which was totally green. There literally was only her in the cage not even bit of newspaper & outside exposed to the elements. I wasn't asked any questions or offered any food for her, unbelievable they just wanted her gone.
I'm so angry & very sad too that anyone could allow a creature to endure such a life. She is now safely here in the warm & will be hopefully integrated with my others. Sorry for the rant!

Well done for bringing her home, 4 of my piggies came from the free ads too, its just heartbreaking isnt it when people have lost all interest in their pets and wont even provide for their basic needs x

It’s so sad how people can be so uncaring to animals, good on you for giving her a bright and loving future x

Sometimes it's people who have been neglected as a child, feel the need to do it to someone or something else. Can send people the opposite way though

There are rescues around I understand that children lose interest but why not contact a rescue rather than giving away to 1st person who comes along

Lazy, selfish, see themselves as more important

So pleased she has found a great home with you!

Well done for rescuing this little one. Goodness knows what might have happened to her if you hadn't come along. 💕
