Nugget is being spayed on monday 😫

Post op went OK, nugget is perky and her wounds have healed great just she's still down 100g and not much poop output so back in two days, marshmallows also lost 80g she's sensitive to stress and all the back and forward isn't good for her! Syringe feeding x2! Xx

Poor you, I sympathise with the syringe feeding x 2!

Marshmallow is much better, nugget is up and down, on and off eating, her poop output could definitely be better and she's still down 100g but at least she's not lost any more than that 🙄 we did just have a small breakthrough where she came to the cage side to take her recovery food then went and munched some hay, fingers crossed this is finally an upward trend and Mondays post op will be the last 🤞🤞🤞 i don't think it's even the surgery anymore her wounds look great I think it's piggy politics throwing her off, these two have always been sensitive to change and marshmallow has taken the opportunity to get revenge and stage a dominance take over :doh::mal:

I have had a problem once with a pair of well bonded sows when one needed an emergency spay, and have noticed different herd dynamics when one sow in a group was spayed. I’m not sure whether it’s a change scent, or just pure opportunism on the part of the pretender to the top spot. Sorry to hear your girls are still working it out. But at least they are trying.

Thankyou, I'm beginning to think i should've spayed them both at the same time 🤣 fluffy was never accepted back after her spay, and now I have two fussy piggies but bless them they really are trying 💞 they'll get through it, syringing nugget is much easier tonight shes suddenly realised she's starving 😍 fingers crossed the scales give me good news tomorrow! Because before her toe infection she was 1155g and today exactly 1kg 😒 xx I was considering an elective preventive spay for marshmallow when finances allow but considering her reaction to nuggets spay I'm now thinking maybe not... 😖
 
Aw well done Nugget and Nugget's mummy you've both had a really tough time but hopefully with those naughty ovaries gone you can both look forward to a bright happy hormonal-tantrum free future! :) x

Congratulations on lots of healthy pets, I hope it's a long run of good health... Sounds like miss Nugget & friends have given u the runaround... Swollen toe or not ;)
