When I first got Gucci I tried her on the Pets at Home Muesli (which is what the rest of the gang get, and love) and she absolutely hated it. So, I tried her on the Pets at Home nuggets and she loves them and has been on them since I got her. For the past eight or nine weeks she has had soft poos - NOT diahorrea - and I am wondering if it is the food. She has plenty of good quality hay and likes her fruit and veggies like all pigs, but the soft poos are a nightmare. She is kept on vetbed and the poo gets stuck to that, and worse, stuck to the bottoms of her feet. I have even found it smeared on her face a few weeks ago! So I'd like to try a new food. Given she's picky, it must be a pellet or nugget. I've seen the Burgess Blackcurrant and Oregano (I think) food, in Pets at Home, and also the regular Burgess. Is this any good? How have people with picky pigs found it? Skinnies need to eat more than regular pigs so it must be a tasty food, and also roughly the same price as the Pets at Home nuggets, or be able to purchase in bulk, as you wouldn't believe how much food one Skinny piggy eats! Thanks for reading and any suggestions :)

my picky pigs LOVE Burgess Blackcurrant and Oregano pellets so I highly recommenced that :)

Science Selective is also worth a try! Mine are on Wagg Optimum, which is very similar to the Burgess Excel pellets, but cheaper and the pellets are smaller.

3 different pellet brands - one must surely go down with with Gucci. :))

Thank you for adding that Bonnie - how could I forget Oxbow! Especially since mine are on it until the Wagg arrives. rolleyes

The Oxbow one may well be worth a try, it's hay-based so should really help Gucci's tummy. Logical really!

Wow, lots of suggestions for my princess! Does anyone know where I can get all these different brands? My local PaH is quite small and only stocks it's own brand and Burgess. I have heard of all of these that you have suggested but where can I buy? :) Thanks by the way guys, you are all wonderful!

my girls have the regular burgess and eat it all with no leftovers!

I usually order mine from the hay expert

or pampered piggies

I have tried most pellets for my fussy pigs, unfortunately they all like different ones, the Oxbow cavy cuisine seems to be the favourite with 3 although its the most expensive!

wagg you can get from most supermarkets, they definately sell it in asda and i think morrisons do too! Science selective is a bit more tricky but if you find a local pet supplier they sometimes will order it in for you. pampered piggies sells science selective also! You can order science selective from dobbies garden centre off website too
