What does everyone think about these? i think i may change the food mine eat at the moment they have Wagg muesli but are selective eaters and a lot is being left, id like to change to nuggets but not sure which ones to use, i thought id try pets at home because its local to me and easy to get too. :)

I think they are good pellets, I'm not 100% sure but I think they might be the same as Burgess pellets.

I had mine on them, but I gave them a sample of Science Selective pellets and they liked them so much they wouldn't eat the P@H ones anymoremallethead

My piggies are selective feeders, too, and so I opted to give them Pets At Home nuggets. They are packed with vit C and all the required nutrients but they just didn't like them as much as Gerty Guinea Pig mix. I have tried various forms of the nuggets but they just get bored, so I'm now back to the Gerty mix. I've found that if I leave the bowl, instead of constantly topping it up, then they'll eat all of it, thus stopping their selective feeding and so they get all the nutrients. Could try that… Mine love the green things too much to convert back to the nuggets!

i had mine on p@h nuggets but i swapped them over to wagg optimum which they love. you can buy wagg optimum cheaper at asda if there is one local to you :)

My Tribe went off Brugess Excel earlier in the year, but is happliy eating p@h nuggets. Nutritionally, they may not be top of the range, but they are a decent quality.

I combine them with Burgess Blackcurrant&Oregano or occasionally with flaked peas for interest and variety. Very occasionally, I buy a bag of muesli or some other pellets on action and add a bit of that to the pellets, just to keep things from being too sameish.

Gertie's has the disadvantage that it encourages selective feeding, and it is often that the vitamin C enhanced bits are left in my experience.

My piggies are like humans in that they seem to like variety in their pellets so I give them a mixture of P@H, Excel (b&o and original) and science selective. They seem to have fads for the different pellets although the P@H ones seem to be the most popular as it runs out more quickly although they each have their favourite. Once a week they get Tesco purple bag museli as well.

I used to use P@H nuggets up until a few months ago when I changed to Supreme Selective (the stuff in the purple bag). I get it for the same price from the feed store I get my bedding and hay from, the pigs love it. The last bag of P@H nuggets I bought, the whole entire bag was crumbly like the last few bowl full you get at the bottom of the bag and the pigs went off it.

My lot love these :) They are currently on Burgess Blackcurrant and Oregano for the time being, just to offer then a bit of a change more than anything.

They wouldn't touch the Science Selective though and I ended up binning it (just a sample bag thankfully!) rolleyes

I heard that the Pets at Home ones are made by Burgess Excel. Not sure if this is true or not though. My seemed to like them both the same :)

Mine refuse ALL nuggets even the fancypants oregano ones, they are die hard Gerty meusli fans!

I have wagg museli and am trying to get them on to wagg optimum but they don't seem to like it so ive mixed a bag of each together to see if tha work's. Where can i get sample bag's of science selective? as that's the only other nugget's that are stocked near to me.

Could have sworn I had already posted on this but can't see it. Mine absolutely love these and won't eat anything else. They used to like the Burgess and Wagg ones but if I put them in with the P@H ones they just pick the P@H ones out and leave the rest. Even Buzz and Woody.

Mine didn't like the P@H ones or the Burgess ones. They really like the Science Selective ones though. If you google the makers of Science Selective they will send you a quite generous size sample bag. I got fed up of buying bags of food that the boys didn't eat!:)

Mine don't seem to be eating anything, but my female lilly has got bigger... she was in boarding with a friend of mine while I moved... perhapes she was happier and better off there :(

All of mine love the P@H nuggets. They used to have the mixed stuff but would only eat the bits they fancied. Also P@H does do free delivery so as I also have house rabbits and cats I usually stock up when the Hills offer is on to make it worth while. It also means I don't have to carry it home, just one bag of nuggets makes you ache if you carry it long enough.

Have received my free sample of Science Selective pellets. I only called them yesterday afternoon. Quite a sizeable bag it is too. 350g. Also enclosed was a 72 page booklet entitled Guide to Small Animals 2009
