Nutmeg has sadly passed away a little while ago. Heather and me are both gutted as she was our first piggy, along with Doughball. Nutmeg was with me while Heather goes on holiday tomorrow, and although she had lost some weight, she seemed ok. She was eating, drinking, playing and interested in things, even last night. This morning when I went in to them though, it had all changed, I just knew she didn't have very long. I was with her, and she is now safe with piggy pals. We are grateful it was so quick for her. RIP our first little piggy. You and Doughball started us off rescuing, and you have made so many other piggies happy in your short life xxxxx

I am so sorry for you, Jane - as your first piggy, and the one who started it all off, Nutmeg must have been so special to you. It is so devastating to know that there was nothing you could do!

I am glad for the two of you that she was allowed to go quickly and with you being with her!

RIP Nutmeg - there are lots of friends waiting to greet you, not least my Minx who looks a LOT like you!

I'm so very sorry for your loss, Jane. Like Wiebke said, although it is unbelievably difficult to get over the loss of your first piggy, at least you were with her and it was short.

So sorry to hear about Nutmeg. She was a beautiful girl and I know how much you will miss her. As Nutmeg was your first venture into the world of piggies, she must have had an extra special place in your heart.

Run free in those lush meadows at rainbow bridge sweet Nutmeg. Know that you will be missed and send piggy kisses down from Rainbow Bridge to your family who will never forget the joy you brought to their lives.

Oh I am so sorry to read this jane. Thats a real shock as it was only yesterday you said to me and becky that nutmeg didnt seem to be well and had lost some weight. I am thinking of you and heather. Rest in peace little one and run free. Love helen x

Thank you for your kind thoughts everyone. Heather is quite upset, it has taken the shine off her going away on holiday tomorrow a bit. Doughball seems to be coping quite well, we are giving her lots of hugs in Heathers' absence. Nutmeg will be very missed. x
