One of my sows has got very very fat very quickly and I'm a bit worried now because she just keeps expanding. She lives with all girls, and I'm an experienced owner so there's been no mistakes there (thank god) but it just seems that she's putting on weight really fast. She seems absolutely fine otherwise..active, alert, eating normally etc. I wondered if it was bloat because when I tap her on the side of her tummy she does sound a bit bloaty but I've had pigs with bloat before and they are usually quite depressed and she's not. Also, it would be strange for only her to get bloat as we haven't been overdoing the greens lately at all and she eats exactly the same stuff as her cage-mates. Any ideas?

This does sounds different :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\
I'd get her checked out at the vets love if you're at all worried O0
maybe this little girl is eating everyone elses portion of food as well ::) ::)

yeahhh I wondered about that but mostly we feed them through the bars so they all get an equal amount. She does seem to really like her dry food so maybe that's doing it... ? It shouldn't really though because it's that science selective stuff but I guess if you eat too much... I can't take it away from her though. I'll get her to Vedra I think. Thanks!

No worries love O0
Oh good idea, Vedra will give her a real good going over and check her out thoroughly O0
Pellets are good for her so no i'd not take them away either :)
Bless her perhaps she's just a bigger boned girlie than the others :smitten: :smitten:
