I was wondering if Omega 3 Fish Oil had any benefits for guinea pigs?

I have soft gels that I give to my cats, I have one that tends to have a lot of dandruff and it really does help with keeping her dandruff under control. In humans it is supposed to support heart, brain, and skin health.

They're gel caps that you can cut the tip off, squeeze the liquid out and serve (for lack of better word).

Just curious...

Unless you feel you have a guinea pig with vitamin deficiency, I think it is enough sticking to good quality pellets and a varied diet. Some vitamins can build up in the body and cause damage if given too plentiful (not vitamin C, though!).

Oh, I wasn't intending on giving any. ;) Just curious if any research had been done on Omega 3 and pigs.
