Off day?

Cocoa hasn't been too active today. I thought it was because her new hay was softer and she likes the crunchier texture, so I exchanged the hay. She came out and ate for a little while but now she's back behind her fleece curtain. I can't help but worry, my mom says she could be tired or having an off day. I've been keeping an eye on her and if she's still like this tonight I may call the vet in the morning. Is it possible for piggies to have off days?
 
After I gave her her supper she seems more active now and eating more hay :yahoo: maybe it was just an off day for her, but I'll still keep an eye on her :) I overthink a lot.

Well, I'm famously uniformed about guinea pigs, but If people are anything to go by, you're probably right.
 
Girls are sometimes off colour when they are in season. If they're in a herd this could be seen as getting grouchy with their cage mates, but if yours is a single piggy, it might be that she's having a strong season. You do need to keep a close eye on her, perhaps daily weighing to make sure she's not losing weight, and if it goes on more than a couple of days, I would get her checked over by the vet.
Have you considered a friend for her?

Sorry, just realised who the original poster was. I had thought it was a new person.... Sorry for preaching to the converted lol
