I am calling into the guinea pig rescue (wirral) to buy another larger indoor cage for my girls. How am i going to resist buying more babies lol. Maybe if i buy an extra cage i can get a few extra piggies... I hope my OH wont read this haha :(|)

You just know your OH will see this now you've said that:)) good luck with getting out without more furry wee ones tagging along.;)

Just remember to wear a coat with big pockets lol

Oooooo never thought of that one. :(|) Oh just getting the car ready to put cage in. He said " why are you getting exited? were only getting a cage!"

OOps haha I will let you all know how i get on ;)

I have never been before :{

you'll be coming home with lots then! i've been to a rescue twice & came back with ben the first time & bambi the second time to hard to say no xx

I am quite good that way, i volunteer in a rescue and in 6 months i have only brought one extra back and he was one i put in after a disaster rehoming privately - If you are really strong you can do it! lol:))

I am back OMG the pigs were beautiful and very very big. Remember mine are only 4 month old so still tiny.
I came away with the cage :( ( its a very big indoor cage)I did give the lovely old lady twice the price she was asking and a big bag of veg for the piggies.

She said that i should wait till my girls are bigger before i get a piggie from her as hers are so big and would bully my girls. I may sound bad but they came home 1st i cant have them upset if you know what i mean?

I am so sad I feel like i need to do something. Think i might buy a bag of extra food each time i get mine and drop it in. its not much but it may help.

I am kinda sorry i went now.

Its awful isnt it :( So many piggles wanting homes. Thats why we're pro rescue, encouraging people to consider rescues rather than pet shops so that these lovely piggies can find their forever homes

I loved my trip to the rescue, so many stories and personalities. I found it so interesting, yet very sad to learn about each of them.

I find to stave my guilt is to go and help cleaning hutches, help with a run to the wholesalers to pick up supplies, buy my bedding from there, any help you can give will be gratefully received even if you can't have any guineas! Rescues are generally a good place to get knowledge about local vets etc etc

Awww hun.
Anything you can do will help a rescue out believe me i know been there done it with a cat charity.

I am going to ring her tomorrow and see if i can help in any way.

Cant stop thinking about them animals. :(
