Ive booked the boys in for a MOT at the vets on Tuesday at 5.30. I'm so nervous about it! I really dont know why as the vet i am seeing has been very highly recommend by two members but I'm still worried, i have no reason to worry as it just a check up!:...

For those of you who may know about Gizmo's noisy breathing, I am going to ask about it of course, but since ive changed to fleece he is so much better and he now only seems to be a noisy eater! Anyone else have a noisy eating piggy, he sounds just like a farm pig! :))

Please help me ease my worrying mind!
 
I know piggies hide illness well but if you know your pigs, you will know when there behaviour changes. I don't think you have anything to worry about it :).

It is good to find a good vet incase you ever need them! :)
 
If it's any help the vet you are seeing told me that some guineas are just rattly breathers (he said Orson was although I haven't noticed it).

I'm sure your boys will be fine
 
Thanks everyone and I'm sure my boys are fine as their weight have stayed the same and they are eating normally.

Thanks Lisa for that, maybe he is just a very loud eater and he certainly lives up to the 'pig' name when eating. :))

I will of course give you all a update! :)

I think the reason why I'm worried/scared is because when i took them in 2008 Gizmo squealed so loudly when the vet touched him it frightened me! Even though i laughed as i was so nervous and when they gave Joey a skin scape to see if he had mites i had to turn around and shut my eyes. You wouldnt think i used to work in a vets the way i acted. :(
 
Getting closer to the visit and I'm getting nervous. :(

Silly me.
I'm going to take some parsley with me so i can give it to the boys when we leave the vets, that way i can feel less guilty about taking them as they love parsley. x)
