...with Timone this time. I picked him up last night and he somehow seemed much heavier and bigger around the abdomen. Mike thinks he is just getting fat but I'm not quite sure. They have had brocolli and cabbage a few times recently so I'm wondering if he is gassy.

Anyway thought I would leave it to see in the morning. Well this morning his tummy feels a bit smaller and looser I think, but then i noticed his penis was all the way out.

I sort of gently pressed it so I could see the base of it to see if there was anything stuck in there and there was sort of a hard yellow discharge. I have no idea if this is normal or not but something just doesnt seem quite right with him. He is still eating as normal but seems ia bit more lethargic I think.

I am off to work now and he ses the vet at 7 tonight. Just wondered if anybody might have any thoughts in the meantime?

Thanks in advance.

Is his penis still out? Is he urinating?

If so you need to pop some KY jelly (or similar - water based, unscented lubricant) on it, at intervals, to keep it moist, and he should be seeing a vet ASAP if it won't retract. Is there anyone who can take him for you if you have work?

Managed to up his appointment to 5.30. Earliest we could do as we have a nursery pick up and school pick up in different directions. Means he will have to take the kids too. We don't have any family nearby which makes it a bit tricky with these kinds of things. We also don't have a car so we cant just nip places. We sometimes have rentals through work for a while but times like now with no car it is a bit harder.

Thanks guys. I mentioned to mike about lubricant and he grabbed some and put some on before vets.

He said it was still completely out when he took him but now it is about 2 thirds of the way back in. The vet said it all seemed ok and that there was no infection or obvious problem. He said he looks like a healthy pig but his tummy may be a bit bloated, aalthough he didnt think it was bloat as it wasnt tight. He has given some pro biotics to go in his food and says to keep an eye on him but he seemed ok.

I got home before they were all back so cleaned cage out and put cosy new fleece blanket in. He was running around playing with his bell ball within 2 minutes and seems perked right up :) maybe he just needed a trip out haha.

Really has put my mind at rest but i will be watching him like a hawk.

Thanks for the help x

Hi often a trip in the car can help a piggie with tummy upsets.... the movement!

Keep an eye on things, delete any gassy foods for quite a few days and only introduce if all poops are ok :)

Little kisses and snuggles from us all XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
