Thank you everyone, we are in a bit of a state tonight. The OH broke down in the vets, Maddie was very special and had come so far from the nervous pig she used to be. Will do her tribute in the next few days.

Just caught up with this, sorry. Helen I am so sorry, you mad the right call for little Maddie and did everything possible for her. Hugs and love to you both. She couldn't have asked for better piggy parents.

awww Helen, i have just read this all the way through, i am so sorry. Its awful when you do all you can but it just doesnt work, as you know i have my problems with Oscar. Reading through your posts you have given her the best chance possible, i really wish i had your knowledge and confidence, not to mention the 'friend'. I am so sorry for you and Ross, its just so devastating and it doesnt matter how many you have lost over time, each one chips away at the old heart. rip Maddie, run pain free at the bridge beautiful x

She is free from pain now, and that is the most important thing. My thoughts are with you both.

I am so sorry Helen, i have only just caught up on this thread and totally missed this on Friday evening. I am so sorry, you are such a good piggie mum and she was loved to the end. R.I.P Maddie. ((hugs)) x x

Only just caught up with all this properly. Read whole thing. So, so sorry you lost Maddie, Helen. She was such a brave, bright piggy who was a real fighter from the sounds of things. And wow, how amazing were you giving her all that love and attention. You did everything you could. Heartbreaking to lose a piggy. Hope you feel better soon.
