... to hopefully adopt & welcome a new piggie (or two!) into our family :)

Spoke with Alice yesterday and she has a 5-6 year old sow who we'd love to have, subject to her getting on with Coco and Dude. And with a HUGE cage and lots of floortime to share, we may bring somepig else back too :)

Happy-sad times ... losing Sadie but able to offer a retirement home to another rescue piggle or two ...

Best of luck! I hope that she will take her chance with both paws!

Alice has a lovely long haired piggy that I have had my eye on for ages...If I hadn't have got Archie...{:|:)). I will miss going to see her...I don't live in Gloucester any more :(.

Have fun! I look forward to seeing some pics of your new arrival :)

She lost her friend about 6 weeks ago so I'm very hopeful that she'll be eager to have some company again :) At 5-6 she sounds perfect for us ... we have a little retirement village ready and waiting for her!

Will look out for him/her and say hello from you!

Shellza ... Is this the one? Boudicca? She's stunning!

Wow that is so exciting to have some new additions to the family. It is lovely you are adopting some unwanted piggies and giving them a lovely new home. :)

Oooh... yes, pics please. :(|)

Soon .. I promise! ;)

We always adopt the oldies! Generally people don't want to adopt the older ones whereas we love them and can offer them retirement luxury! This time it's a 5+ year old, Shilly and two that are age unknown, but definitely not youngsters - Carrie & Izzy. We adopted Blizzy from Alice at the ripe old age of 6.5 yrs ... that was 15 months ago and she's still going strong! :)

You are so brave. I would be so sad and worried about them not being with me for long.

THAT amounts to a full raid! Are you sure that there are ANY piggies left at Windwhistle Warren? :))

Pics PLEASE!

And sometimes they're not ... but we know they have the absolute best and lots and LOTS of love during their last bit of time.

At the same time as adopting Blizzy who I mentioned in an earlier post, we also adopted Maisie. She only had 3.5 weeks with us :( But she passed away peacefully in a home rather than in rescue after days munching on grass and enjoying companionship.

It's the same with Sadie. Only had her 5 months but they were 5 very happy months :)

Young pigs are funny ... but the oldies are SO rewarding too :)

Well Alice said she had 30 when we arrived ... so I guess she has 27 now! Going to do greens but then I might just manage to pop on some pics. Still early days bond-wise but looking positive :)

it's lovely you adopt the older piggies so they can enjoy the rest of their lives in a loving home, no matter how long that might be. :)

can't wait to see pics. :)
