Here's a lesson for you to learn: always put proper rain cover over the runs, even when the weather forecast says it won't rain!

My pigs were out, and it wasn't very sunny so I didn't put the towels over, and there was no rain forecast so there was no cover either. All the girls had was the wooden covered section on the roof of the run, and all the boys had was a white plastic cover which had blown over!

Cue unexpected downpour - and I mean seriously heavy rain out of no where. I legged it out, grabbed the house to put the girls in (never have they hopped in so willingly!), ran them inside, then ran to grab the boys. They were all absolutely drenched. And so was I.

We had about ten towels out, me and my mum, and all the girls were on the sofa being wrapped up and rubbed, and the boys were on the floor. Went to pick up Glinda, who is a longhaired guinea pig to start drying, then I turned round and Freddie has disappeared - he was under the sofa. I left him there because he seemed happy enough, and carried on with Glinda. Turned round a minute later and Nelson was gone, too!

I put Glinda back up with the other girls, who were being very noisy, and crawled under the sofa to get Freddie, wrapped him up like a little baby and stuck him on the other sofa, then had to crawl back under to get Nelson, who kept running away. I eventually caught him, and he'd left a nice little present rolleyes Got him wrapped up with Freddie and rubbed them, and then left them and they fell asleep!

AND THEN, Elphie started causing rouble and it was mayhem on the girl sofa, so I put her in the box with a towel. Felt sorry for her, and put Glinda in with her, and they started fighting :{ Wipped Glinda back out and put her with the others, and they all sat very nicely together. And then Amy started being a bit too motherly and 'cleaning up' the others, much to their annoyance. Then they have their mad moments where one decides they're not comfy anymore and disrupts everyone else. Then they settled down. Then another one did it. And then again. Then Ace went for River. And eventually all the girls were dry and back in their houses nice and snug.

The boys have really thick coats so they're still with me right now, asleep in their cat bed.

My, my. :{
