So as is fitting for their first Gotcha Day, I've just had to sneak up the stairs after the postie turned up at half 10.

And what an interesting (!) year it has been. I suppose I should be flattered they're comfortable enough with me to scream at me 24/7 for food. And by they, I mean Cam. They're miffed at me for switching the heating on when I got up this morning "WAAAAAAHH WE'RE FREEZING TO DEATH IN HERE" except I can read a thermometer, boys, and it was over 20°, and your Snugglesafes were still warm.

They arrived at an interesting time for me last year. I only had about 80% of the stuff I'd need at the house, but @YvonneBlue appeared with the rest of it (for which I'm very grateful!). It was about 6 weeks since I'd moved out of the last place and into the absolute serenity that is this house in comparison. I'd had no running water for a week, my mental health could have been much better, but these two?

They might be crazy, but they've made a massive difference no matter how much I groan about the heating bills, or their weird hay preferences, or their uselessness as alarm clocks, or how they need to stop trying to upset the neighbours, or how I can't make food appear out of nowhere, or how I can't eat crisps in peace, or how I'm going grey, or how I'm very sorry but the beds need washed...

Oh, goblins. :beer:

Part of me's adamant they've been here forever, lol. They didn't come with a lot of history, but I think this might be the longest they've been in any one home. When I said I wanted to adopt pigs again, adopting shrieking goblin gremlins wasn't actually on my radar, but I'd have it no other way. Except maybe the shrieking. A bit less shrieking would be cool. :wub:
 
Aw happy gotcha day boys! Doesn't seem like a year, but those lads clearly had their paws under the table from the minute they arrived, they know where they belong- it's lovely when piggies just find the perfect home, especially the mad quirky pigs who come from somewhere quite random then just take over, and those goblins couldn't have found a better dad than you @Lorcan :) x

It's a compliment I'm not sure I deserve, but I'll take it! :))

I think they're sulking today because the heating's been on less. They're not cold, they just don't have an excuse to sit near the radiator all day and they don't like that very much. 🤷‍♂️

Edit: I flippin' knew it. Just went in to say hello, Cam's on a Snugglesafe by the window. "Hi, you okay? It's okay. You're good. Where's Bann?"

Bann ran out of the tunnel next to the Snugglesafe. Both are at the wall near the radiator. I KNEW IT.

Blodwen has recently mastered the art of sitting by the radiator expectantly when it isnt on, shivering unnecessarily and glaring at me accusingly and ignoring the snugglesafes- 5 warm fleecy beds for 4 piggies, 2 snugglesafes, but she won't use any of them, just gives me the pig eye until the radiator comes back on!
I think these piggies must get a commision fee from British Gas, the amount they cost to keep warm even when you know they are warm enough already but they give you that look and you just... put the heating on again lol!
 
I swear it's the first time I've seen Bann out of bed without bribery involved all day, and he practically leapt out of that tunnel when I said his name, lol. Although I think Cam's also miffed that I undid all his furniture moving on him, they couldn't get onto the Snugglesafe in the corner without going through the tunnel because he'd jammed that much around it, lol. But who am I to argue?
