I'm not sure what to do?
Right i rehomed two guinea pigs, one has had three babies and the other one seems to be getting a bigger so might also be pregnant.
The one that has had babies makes me very nervous so i make her nervous,so i feel that she should go to someone with more experience with guinea pigs,
The other one is fine little to catch but fine when being held so no problems.
My friend has offered to rehome two of the babies when they are old enough however its important to me they get forever homes.
Sorry this is all the stuff going around my head ?

Why are you nervous around the pig and when did she have the babes? To be honest if you suspect one is pregnant then I wouldn't rehome her because of this stress involved. Id just leave her be until she has the babes.

Can your friend offer a forever home? I agree that forever homes are the best way forward and check on the set up when you can.

Good luck!

I think its because she is nervous? She had her babies on Saturday and is being a good mum :)
The other that might be pregnant is fine so will not be rehomed :)
I trying to do what i think is right by the guinea pigs :)

Ah sorry when you said you rehomed two guinea pigs I thought you meant you had rehomed them as in given them up for rehoming.

Maybe rehome the nervous pig with one of her babes. Would love to see some pics of them if you have any. :)

So you are worried your nervousness makes new mum piggy nervous so you think maybe it would be good to find her and bubs a new home? You will keep the possible preggers pig with you until she possibly pops and rehome the babies with your friend? Where are you?

i have something similar
Morgan and Morgause they where born 25/10/07 and are atleast 4 weeks pregnant! they are both nervous as they have had minimal human contact
But they are etting more at ease with us and dont run around too much its taking time but we are getting their!
But we will need to rehome some of the babies due to space etc
just need to emember no one goes on their own!
always with or to a friend
Pictures help!
Good luck x

I think this might be a good idea :)
I'm going to keep one of the babies to keep the other company,at the moment babies are to young to do this so need to wait till they are older and I'm in Wiltshire/Hampshire

Just to let you guys know that my friend that rescues is going to take mum and baby under her wing so i know that they will get a good home and then they have rescue back up :smitten:
