So Coco is in season again, oh jolly. Driving everyone crazy with her rumbling. I have a dilemma though as she's a real cow to Patchy and lunges at her whenever she gets close (no biting, nipping or blood drawn) which is quite upsetting to look at even though it doesnt seem to affect Patchy much but I'm concerned they might have a fall out. Last time was pretty rough on Coco, poor girl and at the time I had a thought that maybe the long hidey they share, although long and provides alot of space for them not to have contact (and more space for running around in the cage) doesnt give them enough "space" from each other when they have to constantly look at each other all day so I took the hidey out and put their large pigloos back in and all was well again and put the long hidey back in when all was calm again. This time I have done the same and they popcorned and chased each other around happily and are now busy eating hay together, not that sharing food is ever a issue just hideys as Coco seems quite possesive about them. Do you think it might be better just to leave the pigloos in as it makes them happier even though it clutters up the cage and leaves less space, less space never seems to bother them just bothers me. They still have room to zoom around and I suposse whatever makes them happier is what matters. Sorry for the long confused thread but I'm a bit concerned for Patchy even though she hasn't been hurt.

As long as Patchy isn't bothered, you need not be! But leave the hideys in they are better with. it should blow over in a day or two.

I know it can be difficult to watch but it will pass... we have had really strong seasons with Widget and Sasspy but they passed over a few days and Sassp was quite rightly getting annoyed with the humping off Widget. We use sticks as they have two entrances to allow thew pig been hassled an escape route.

All seems alright this morning, Patchy even chucked Coco out of her hidey, she gets fed up sometimes and will assert herself and then Coco will give her little piggie kisses and they will cuddle up in a pigloo together. No doubt i'll get used to their strange ways and not panic so much.

It is difficult isn't it.
My girls had a couple of strong seasons, and oh the drama!
The three of them would be bouncing and shrieking all over the place.
Eddi would wander through and try to calm everyone down, and then when it became apparent that it was all a bit hormonal, he would rumble strut off to the loft and keep well clear!

I never know when Patchy is in season, she never carries on like Coco...yet. She's pretty laid back and just a complete sweet heart.

Is it normal for her two be a bit quiet for a couple days after, actually they have both been quiet for a couple of days now and only coming out for food and prefering to cuddle up with each other.
