So...coughing pig may actually be Jeff!

He's had a bit of a coughing and sneezing fit this evening - and also had these heaving hiccup things - what causes that? he hadn't been eating at the time...

Remember Guinea Pig's almost always have food in there mouth so even though you didn't see him eating he may have been eating the gunk from earlier which was already in his mouth. :)).

My Wilma gets heaving hiccups a lot, I think most of the time it's due to eating to quickly or something going down the wrong way.

yeah, I'm now concerned that is might be dental, as Jeff was the piggy with the missing front teeth when I rescued him. Arghh! (Dont tell the rest!) But jeffy is my favourite! Anything that needs to be done for him, will be done lol. He'll be coming to work with me tomorrow for a check over, I've had my stethoscope out and his lungs sound pretty clear, but he has had the sneezes today. No nasal dischare or anything as yet, might just stick him straight on septrin so I don't end up with 5 sick pigs!

Perhaps some Pollen got up his nose, was he out on grass? I did have Wilma checked last time at the vets, she does have spurs but they aren't interfering with her - usual story take her back if there's weight loss.

I'd get him checked if your concerned - although I would be inclined not to give ABS - as you don't want him building up an 'immune' to them so they don't work when there needed.

True - I just don't wanna risk all 5 catching an RI! he's had a few snuffles over the last couple of days, but as I said, no nasal discharge. He's not been out on any grass, I've not changed washing powder for the fleece, I've not changed hay or anything. I dunno if it's related to the coughing - that seems to be an eating related thing, although I'm hoping its not dental issues!
