It's been three months of preparing, researching, and looking for guinea pigs. Three months. I'm leaving on a trip next week, and will be waiting till when we get home to adopt them. How do you manage the wait to adopting new friends?

Exciting times!

Fill it with lots of reading about piggies and planning for there arrival!

Looking forward to pigtures!

I got my pigs on Sunday and today I got my one year membership notification so my wait was almost exactly a year. I read so many forum posts and watch so much YouTube Guinea pig videos.

Aw, bet it was worth the wait, do you have a photo x
Ah not yet but it will be! Adopting them on the 14th, and will definitely show pictures! I can't wait to meet them! How long have you had Bill and Ted?

I have had Bill and Ted for 4 and a half years now. They are brothers, they were 4 weeks old when I got them (a bit young) but healthy. We only had a PAH near us, then saw this advert in the paper, two baby boars looking for a home) so off we went. It turned out to be at a small farm, the lady bred rabbits and guinea pigs on a very small scale. I’m rather against buying from breeders but once we saw them there was no going back. They are Dalmatian ‘rejects’,! They are winners to us!

How can any piggie be a 'reject'? They are all lovely! If I could afford it in time and money I would have many more piggies!
I know! I suppose it sounds worse to us, to breeders they just don’t meet the standard they are looking for to show. I was determined to have them after that comment

So would I, but the OH is the stumbling block to that plan 😞
