Oh Yuk

I have just introduced Pob to an older boar which went well with the help from some Vick, but Luck was dragging his bottom on the floor and rumbling, which i expected But the smell was evil is this what you guys smell when you do a boar with impacted bum, because wow it stunk.

It was like a white paste and just evil yuk yuk yuk and did i happen to mention it smelt like YUK


what do you all think?

one of my male guinea pigs does this when he gets excited..i always thought he was marking his territory! and yes it really does pong ::) lol
 
When cindy and wilson met cindy dragged her but on the floor... didnt smell though, is that because she is a girl?
 
I've noticed our dominant little man doing this a bit recently. He also sprays the little one with what Ithought was wee, but now I wonder if it's his scent spray? Dunno if they can spray scent though! Smells unpleasant, but hopefully shouldn't be impaction as he is only 1!

believe me us with boars know this smell only too well and agree its the most foul ugh smell , its to mark terratories and whos boss pig probably the worst smelling is boss pig lol
 
It must be a "boy" thing because i also have ten rats and they do pong a bit too. Male rats also get something called "penis plugs" which is just what it sounds like - certain "stuff" clogs up their penis and if they are old boys and cant quite reach that area you have to clean it for them. My rat boys are all quite youg so they can do it themselves at the moment - i have lost count of the number of times one of them have spat their plug out at me. ::) ;D

UGH i'm sooo lucky neither Sully or Duke have ever done this to me :P

Well one time i took the boys out and a penis plug was stuck on one of their heads! :o It couldnt be his own it must have been one of the other boys! :D

my mum used to have to remove that "yuk" from their bottoms. her term for the process was "De-cheesing". Ew.
 
oh the cream cheese......yip i have recently learnt about this lovely task ?
 
you cant beat the smell of an impacted butt,ive just cleaned Fudge out but he doesnt look too good as hes old too :(

Thankfully i havent yet experienced an impacted bum :)

me either thank god :) can it happen in sows... or only boars?
 
God. what a horrible topic! I had my new boys out on the bathroom floor today (seperately) and the stench afterwards was so horrendous I had to get an airfreshener and leave the window open. I am always defending my decision to keep all my pigs indoors to people, arguing that they are odourless. May have to rethink this one now... RANCID!
