Olaf passed his test to become a therapy piggy!

Not really surprised Heather. Olaf is such a gorgeous little piggie! He is def one of my fave forum piggies and has been since he was an itty bitty baby. If only you didn't live over the pond .... :bal:

I don’t feed him until after visits so most of the poops are the ones he eats Lol! We are only allowed to visit for a max of 2 hours at a time
 
Awesome! I would love to try to certify mine as therapy pigs... I looked into it but no one will certify anything but dogs, cats, and horses in my area. :( Congrats to Olaf!

Have you looked at Pet Partners website, they have chapters all over.

I have a few other piggies that are also certified, so he will be taking turns with them. We visit hospitals, nursing homes, and an addiction treatment center. I’m about to start bringing the piggies to a place that provide therapy for children who have been physically or sexually abused. They will be in a small waiting room and the kids can hold them and play with them to calm their nerves before their appointments. If kids really seem to connect with the piggy, we might even go into the therapy session with them. Most of the places he will be sitting on someone’s lap or I will be holding him while they interact with him. I try to mostly visit quieter, less crowded places so that the piggies don’t get stressed out.

I have, they don't have a chapter in my area of Ontario, unfortunately. The nearest one is a few hours away by car.
