We had to say goodbye to Oliver this week after him losing a battle with kidney failure following an operation to remove a cancerous tumour. Sleep well little Oliver.

Oliver came to us in November 2016 from BARC. He was already 3.5yrs old and was bonded by @pig in the city to Fred.
I can't remember a huge amount about the time when he moved in because it was just very easy, he fitted into the piggie room straight away and quickly became the noisiest at dinner time.
He wasn't called Oliver when we adopted him but we called him Oliver as he had a very sweet face and did a brilliant 'Please Sir, can I have some more' look
oliver - Please sir, I want some more.webp
He was our first completely ginger piggie. He was very much the brains of the pairing between Fred and Oliver and they were always having mini disagreements over which bed they wanted to lounge in. Oliver was quite lively and inquisitive but Fred soon taught him to chill!

They got on really well and here they are together at Christmas 2016.

More to follow in a min

Sorry for your loss. Oliver was a very handsome piggie, sleep tight little fella.

Oliver had a confident personality and was always the first to greet me in the morning - checking if I had been to the fridge first.
He enjoyed cuddles but on his terms, he would make it quite clear if he wasn't keen on a head stroke that day.
Here he is with my daughter agreeing to a head stroke.

He was very keen on all food but especially really green food eg strips of cabbage, fresh grass and herbs.
He enjoyed lawn time with Fred when the Yorkshire weather allowed.
Grazing with Fred.webp
Oliver also really loved fleecy things - he used to have special cuddles with my daughter in her fleecy dressing gown - I love his face in this photo!

We all really miss you Oliver and so sorry that we couldn't save you from the cancer and its complications - but I tried v hard for you.
Fred is missing you and basically staying in bed a lot but we hopefully have a plan for him soon. Sleep well little Oliver.

Oliver must of been a GREAT guinea pig! He looked so happy with you, you were a great owner but everything will be sad in life, you just have to move on ( As my mother used to say ). Remember, Oliver still remains in you're heart and will always be. Right now, he is looking down to you remembering how great you were as his owner.

RIP Oliver. You did all you could and I’m sure he lived a happy life. Huge hugs to you. Goodnight love x
