Ollie pigwig would like to ask the other forum piggies, what is a date please? Because he thought dates were a fruit hoomans eat that he isnt allowed because they are too sugary, but now hoomans are talking about a date for Ollie... which would be very exciting if it is fruit, but the hoomans are setting up a cage, are dates very big ferocious fruits?
Ollie is not at all sure what sort of fruit needs a cage and makes you have a nail trim and health check and wash the poop off your paws before you eat it, he would be very glad if anypig could tell him about dates because they sound a bit scary!
 
Don't want to get too excited too soon but maybe a little trip to Stoke-on-Trent is planned, the lady concerned has never met another piggy though so she's coming as a foster for a slow intro as neighbours to see how things go :)
 
Also, Ollie, a date is something of which there are lots on a thing called a calendar. Your slave writes on it to remind herself ( she's probably getting old and forgetful like mine), nice things like "Haybox delivery " , nasty things like "Ollie - Vet" or confusing things like "Ollie - Plum Fairy". Hopefully on this occasion she is reminding herself of something really nice for you, whatever that might be.

We have never heard of dates, of any kind!
Whatever your mystery date is we hope it turns out to be a good thing.

We think it means something very exciting like meeting a new lady friend.

Whatever Ollie was expecting a date to be, it certainly wasn't a beautiful lady pig setting up camp in a cage next door and flirting with him through the bars!
He's completely overwhelmed and a bit frightened and promptly dragged him carrot cottage over to block the place where the cages meet lol...
But he does keep peeping round the side and checking she's still there. She's settled down quite comfortably near the hay tray where she can look straight into Ollie's cage and watch him.
I get the feeling she knows Ollie is her husboar and is just patiently waiting for him to get with the plot...

This is Hatty (formely Rosie) from The Potteries GPR, who is Ollie's foster pig date until hopefully they decide to get married in a couple of weeks :)
