Goldie
Adult Guinea Pig
I have been meaning to post about my newbies for many months but my dad passed away and the time has rolled on helping my mum.
So here is Olly and Willow's story ....
I saw Willow in May this year (previously known as Candy) available for rehoming at Windwhistle Warren rabbit and guinea pig rescue near Gloucester. I spoke to Alice who runs the rescue, a lovely lady, and arranged to go and see Willow. She was very timid and had come to Alice from a pub garden. So I guess life wasn't that great for Willow.
Anyway I had already seen another piggy on Alice's website, which links directly into www.guineapigrehome.org.uk. He was then called Sky ... a tri-coloured neutered boar currently living alone.
We fell in love with Willow straightaway and then I asked if I could see and hold Sky. Well that was it ... Sky (now called Olly) came home with us as well.
Both Olly and Willow were popped in the carry-box together for the journey home. They were both very frightened and took comfort in each other. They are now a well bonded pair although even after all these months Willow is still very nervous but getting better.
We love them both to bits!
Here are a couple of photos ...
