I was watching Cable TV earlier and went on to animal planet as I saw Pet Rescue was on. I sat there while this guy went into a storage crate type thing because someone had got some guinea pigs and couldn't look after them anymore. It turned out that they thought there was THREE HUNDRED of them all over the place and there were 30 cages with loads in and some roaming free on the floor.
It disgusted me and the guy had brought a couple due to him having ill health and wanting something to do. So then he started to breed them to sell to pet shops. Well he had so many that the pet shops weren't having that many off him anymore and they just kept having babies. The man says he couldn't keep them as his health was really bad so was giving them to the RSPCA.
It turned out they reckon they had got about FIVE HUNDRED AND FOUR and some of the guinea pigs were also pregnant so they could have even more babies too.
It sickened my this did as I don't know how old the Pet Rescue was but I hope that in the end they all got good homes.
Some of them were so cute I wish I could have had some but I know the progamme was a few years old I think. How can someone do that the poor animals no one should be allowed to just let them breed like thats its way too cruel.
