i braved the shops today, only because i used up the last gp and rabbit food today(i wouldnt have gone if i wasnt desperate),i fell on my bum as well 8... the pavements really are lethal, just pure ice and the roads arent much better. But i couldnt believe it Wilkinsons had NO Guinea pig food at all and just their own deluxe rabbit food 8... No hay either!i got the "deluxe" rabbit food as I'm hopeful its tasty stuff, had to search other shops (our shopping centre is rubbish)i managed to get a bag of crap gp food from home bargains,to be honest i would never buy it if i wasnt desperate. There are no pet shops near by and asda is that bit to far to attempt to get to with the state of the pavements! I feel such a bad piggie mum as its unlikely i can get any decent piggie food until monday, thats if kids are back to school and i can get upto asda. I'm going to mix the crap gp food with the so called deluxe rabbit food and hope that will be ok for them for a few days.the hay i have should just about do,but they will be on rations.
i have got veggies in for them so they wont starve they have carrots, cucumber, green beans, lettuce (the only veggies fussy bums Mac and Rascal will eat) but i feel so mean giving them crap piggie food 8...

I have a tiny bit of hay left and am relying on the OH to get to the pet shop for me - have reminded him twice! I have enough gp wagg and veg for tomorrow, but I haven't got any cucumber and the shop down the road had run out the other day, so come tonight my lot are going to be squeeking for their cucumber and this is the first time ever in over 2 years I have never had it for them, I feel bad!

I have the same problem, my P@H is the other end of town so I have had to buy Tesco Value muesli :red instead of their nuggets! I am sure they will be fine for a short time with the paupers supper! :(|)

I am lowish on hay so I am hoping the farm shop at the end of the road has some. I hat ethis weather so much. :(

We were running out the other day so we nipped to Tesco's to buy some.. It's not tesco value because it was £4.77! But it's well worth it because she's never not got her paws out of her food bowl :L

As pellets should only make 15-20% of their food intake, I think they will survive! Mine have on other occasions (it was eat or sulk - tough luck!), when a delivery hadn't come in and I was reduced to buying the crap food...

But with so many, I have started to buy a new big bag as soon as I'm down to about 1-2 weeks provisions, just to be able to order it from another source in that case. Call me paranoid!

Darn weather is causing chaos, I'm sure they will be fine till you can get the one you wanted.
I've had to order our dogs food online as the only petshop in the area that stocks it is completely out as their expected delivery didn't make it due to road conditions.

Why this double posted i dont know!obviously the forum sees this as a piggie crisis(its proof its run by piggies themselves) okay crisis should be over asda are delivering again :) so ive put in for a delivery tomorrow, 5 bags of food should be enough :)) (actually thats 5 each of gp and rabbit and lots of veg and herbs.please please let the van get to me

I'm sure your piggies will be fine with 'the crap stuff' for a few days. You are not a bad owner at all. I can't get hold of the usual hay I use as the range haven't had any for nearly a week now :( They are on hay from our local petshop but it's better than nothing and does its job.
