OMG, OH has finally agreed to adopting a neutered boar!

I am SO excited!

I have been, well, I suppose the police would term is as 'grooming' ,OH into accepting the idea of adopting a neutered boar to join our trio of girlies. It has been a long 2-3 month process of continuous chipping away.

Today I saw that Walsall RSPCA had 2 new lads up for adoption and bit the bullet. I sat OH down and said, look can we have an adult conversation on this where you listen to what I have to say rather than just saying no. OH grudgingly grunted accent. I laid out all the reasons why I wanted a lad to join our group. That I had built the new C&C big enough to accommodate an extra for this very reason. There was a long pause then.... grudging consent, with a short list of conditions and a couple of things I had to do in return. OH did then try to change mind but I insisted on writing a statement of agreement and getting OH to sign it so they couldn't deny it tomorrow!

Yipeeee!

I am now so over excited it is ridiculous:-)

Now of course I just want to know - Donte or Colby? They are both just gorgeous!

I really don't know. I was just going to post a message showing expression of interest and then pm x-vic-x but didn't know which one to post the message on! Both lads are so beautiful. It really comes down to which one x-vic-x thinks would be able to cope with my 3 pushy girls:-)
 
That is a great decision!

Having had a boar in my herd for two years I am now finding it difficult to be without one! They bring such leadership to the job and their 'affection' for their ladies is lovely!

Well I'm here so I'll save you the pm, spoke to the lady fostering them yesterday, I haven't met the piggies in person and she said they are both very similar which is why they didn't get on. It wasn't as if one was picking on the other.

Hiya

I have phoned and left a message on the answermachine but will pm you with details of my ladies and their set up.

All I can say is quick, get an inspector round here to do the homecheck before OH changes mind again:-) Ahhh, that reminds me, I may have forgotten to mention to OH about the homecheck.... will try to subtly work that one into the conversation tomorrow:-)

Why don't send a personal message to x-vic-x (from User CP)? You have enough posts to be able to now!
 
Congratulations! I got my own way too a couple of days ago my neutered boy should be here fri/sat, i'm like a kid waiting for christmas!! :))

Just make sure you don't do any of the things you agreed to do in return until you have the pig in place. :(|)

Oh, well done! I can't imagine how excited I will be if homecheck goes OK and I am actually going to pick the lucky lad up. I am unable to sit still now:-)

Here's wishing you a very short and quick week so the weekend comes the sooner.

ooh, good point! That's just the sort of sneeky thing OH would do. Although I have it in writng now with a bona fida signature. I even did the whole ' I the undersigned do consent and agree...' so should stand up in a court of law:-))
