updated weather warnings an hour ago are now saying this

There are eight severe flood warnings, 10 flood warnings and 24 flood watches nationally, covering North Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and the north Kent coast. The severe warnings are in place from Great Yarmouth down to the village of Shingle Street, and on parts of the River Bure and River Yare. There are also severe flood warning covering Tidal River Waveney from Ellingham to Breydon Water and Tidal Yare from Thorpe St Andrew to Breydon Water in Norfolk.

Thorpe st andrew is only a mile or so away from me

Having lived through a flood I know just how worrying it is sitting waiting for something to happen.
Hope everyone stays safe :(

Thinking of all you Norfolk Scarecrows tonight, I mean that in the nicest way seeing as I am married to one! :D Fingers crossed that this doesn't happen! I think my inlaws will be ok in Kings Lynn. :)

Can you imagine all the piggies / rabbits that are forgotton in hutches at the bottom of the gardens of these flood threatened areas by people who simply wouldn't think about bringing them in? :-\

DON'T SAY THAT. PLEASE.

My mother said she heard a guy on radio 4 last night suggesting what to do in the flood and the first thing he said was get your pets safe. :smitten:

Aww bless that man! Looks like Norfolk escaped but Suffolk copped a load! Will have to catch the news when I get a min! :)

At least someone in the media has some sense and can do something useful :)

My sister-in-law has chickens on two allotments (Great Yarmouth) so took them home last night. They were in the spare bedroom when at 6 am this morning the Police knocked and said they had to evacuate. Sis-in-law said about the chooks but the Police made her leave them behind :'( I know they'll be OK and really what else could she do? At least they were indoors and dry and safe.

Fortunatly my friends bungalow escaped the flooding but only just :o This photo was taken on the next road along from hers :o

Hope everyone is ok.
The damage thefloods do goes on for months.
My friend lives in Carlisle, she missed being flooded luckily, but couldn't get off her estate.
People were living in caravans and temporary accomodation for ages afterward.

Hi guys, just logged on for a few mins to escape the heat. Is it really that bad? We live on the east coast, Bridlington, is it bad there?
