So, I just saw a post on social media from a good friend saying ' Free baby Guinea pig - un wanted pet '...

I messaged her straight away to see what the story was... Apparently some 6th form students bought it as a leaving present for their teacher !! Who has a dog and can't keep it ....

Getting some information sent over to see if I can help re-home ...
 
Oh gosh! Why on earth? ! Presuming they're local to me too as we are both in Nottingham. Let me know if you need any help x

Thanks @ayemee ... they will be local to us both as my friend is in Nottingham.... I just can't believe they would buy a live animal as a leaving present ! x

just had a message saying they believe its a boy... sent me a photo.. will post it now.. i have asked if she knows where it was bought from but it will most likely be from a pet shop x
 
Lol I was just sat here with my mouth open when I saw the cage!

What a gorgeous guinea pig

Unfortunately I'm not taking any more in because I feel that it wouldn't be fair on him due to the lack of knowledge that vets have here in regards to guinea pigs, I've lost three guinea's due to it and it's put me off taking more in, maybe when my son learns how to drive but until then..

I'm sure someone will snap him up :)

Aww poor little boy. He is a sweetie, hope someone can find him a good forever home :(
 
Bless him. Fingers crossed. I know someone who is looking for a male companion for her lone male. Although she doesn't want to take a pet shop pig and not have them bond properly. If there was a way to arrange a date with this guy and her pig to see if they got on she could be a potential new owner for him.

Sent her a message to ask if she would be interested.

thanks very much... I feel so sad for the little fella ! am just hoping he has been sexed correctly ! my friend doesn't know where he was from :/ x
 
a few people have commented on my friends page about having him.. one already has 4 guinea pigs and the other is someone from Floralands Farm park..
my daughter is desperate to have him if only for the weekend lol !

She can't take him unfortunately. She will be going away and then has stress of exams so can't really dedicate her time on ensuring they bond properly ect right now.

I don't like the idea of him going to a farm park :(

Fingers crossed he finds somewhere lovely.

I unfortunately don't have any say over the matter :( i did ask on the post if they already had guinea pigs there ..... xx

He has found a home.. not sure where but a friend of the lady who took him home..... x
