A friend of mine has had to move into a flat :( and couldn't take her lovely piggies with her due to a change in circumstances - so I offered them permanent lodgings here until she's in a position to have them, or forever if not.

One is an Alpaca (my first Alpaca!) called Jaffa -

The other is a Merino called Biffy - but due to falling out with Photo Bucket I can't get a picture of him on here right now - to follow!

They think they're brothers so that's ok - they're about 6 months old. Very friendly - just hoping they don't fall out when they get older! Any other Alpacas on here?

Gorgeous, well done on giving them a home Sophie! :smitten:

They came with the most amount of piggy possessions I've ever seen - carrier and bowls and beds and fleece and brush and food and treats and hayrack and Pigloo.... ! Lovely boys. My friend will have a hard time if she wants them back - I'll have to pretend I don't live here anymore! Quite attached to the fuzzy pigs. :)

Never had an Alpaca- but plenty of time! I do like the curly longhaireds :) Jaffa is a babe :smitten:

So well cared for, that's lovely. I hope your friend can sort everything out. Will be hard on you giving them up if she wants them back.

They've also got a huge cage and run which must have cost a fortune - but she didn't bring that because she had to come on the train!

They're in my double decker hutch learning how to cope with ramps!

Wow what a gorgeous piggy :smitten: I am sure they have a great home with you

Would also love to see pics of merino as one of my piggies Prince Harry is a merino and there doesn't seem to be many about

Well done you, O0 , and what a cutie. :smitten:

Ok, I've had another fight with Photo Bucket, and here's the Merino - Biffy:

He's very brave, much more so than Jaffa, and also very vocal!

And my other Merino, Hermione:

awww they are gorgeous :smitten: your friends lucky she has a friend like you 0:)

No offence to poor Jaffa, he is a gorgeous boy but to me he looks like a Texel. I promise I am not out to cause trouble. 0:)
Does he had a rosette on each hip? If so definately an Alpaca because them rosettes make his hair come forward, I could be due to him having shorter shoulder too.

Yes he does look like a Texel (it's ok, I won't tell him!) - but he has got the rosettes. Bless him, perhaps he's not a very 'good' Alpaca! His hair is not as curly now he's had a bath.

:)

Yes bathing them softens the Rexy coat. Its probably because his face hair has been totally trimmed.
Sorry Jaffa no offence big lad, btw he is a gorgeous boy!
