:)) Awwww, sending lots of healing vibes x

Who is poorly?

I hope the patient feels better very soon xx
Thanks - the patient is doing OK I think but as you know, they keep you in suspense by looking cr*p! I think the human might be cracking up though after nighttime syringe feeds etc - hence devising rhymes instead of doing something useful :)

I am keeping everything crossed for a fast and smooth recovery from here xx

Hope your handsome boy is feeling better soon - all my piggies are over 5 now ;(

Well we have got to about the 16th day of illness but I don't have a rhyme for all of that you will be pleased to hear! It has been a real roller coaster and Sudoku has had days of being very ill - I have looked after a few sick or post op pigs now but he has been REALLY ill and I really thought I would lose him on Monday. Vets started preparing me for doom.
However, thanks to lots of pain killers he is still fighting. I am knackered with syringe feeding etc around work and kids etc but this afternoon he wheeked at me until I brought him a pile of fresh grass - first wheeks from him for maybe 4 weeks! Lets hope this is the start of recovery. His weight is low for him (over 300g loss altogether :() as he is normally a big strong boar so it is going to be all about the food!

Sudoku please keep on munching your yummy green spaghetti and taking meds :nod:

What a little trooper!
Oh I feel for you it's very draining you are doing an amazing job xxxxxxxxxxx
Thanks Glynis - appreciate the support!

I got a bit ahead of myself and tried to ease off the syringe feeding and reduce some of the meds a bit so he would eat more himself but he is gone downhill again today so that was clearly too soon. Gone back to looking hunched up instead of a long guinea pig. Wow they keep you on your toes don't they!

Oh goodness me! I hope Sudoku gets better soon. I don't know how I managed to miss this thread, but he's now firmly in my thoughts.
I'm glad he enjoyed his grass, poorly though he still is x x

He didn't wee for 18hrs and it wasn't good, he was clearly in pain despite me trying every trick I could think of - but of course did a big wee in his sack just as we arrived at the emergency vet:mal:. Now at home looking not great but eating a few foraged herbs.
