My heart always sings when a group bonding goes really smoothly and the piggies are settling down together quickly, happily and with a comparatively short dominance phase.
My big furry marshmallow husboar Carwyn "Blessed Love" (from North East Guinea Pig Rescue in South Shields) is delighted with the new additions to his liquorice allsorts harem. Hapus "Happy" and Llawen "Merry" from Little Pip's Rehoming in Sidmouth/Devon are making themselves at home voer the last week with the older girls Briallen "Primrose" and Heini "Lively", who have been adopted from The Potteries Guinea Pig Rescue in Stoke-on-Trent.
Never say I don't go the length (or width) of the country to find a suitable companion - or have no patience to wait until Ms or Mr Right is ready for adoption... This has been an often frustrating 6 months campaign to find exactly the right piggies re. age, looks and group background to complement my tricky Trio. Patience and persistence have made the result worthwile, though!
PS: The girls have now all discovered the new mezzanine floor and are comfortable with using it.
