IMG_0690.webpso one more day until my baby goes in for her spay, words cannot explain how anxious I am, I pray that she comes through it and then goes through a quick recovery. The pit in the depth of my stomach makes me feel sick whenever I think about it... I love all my animals, always have, and always will, but this little one holds such a big place in my heart, this photo was taken hours after loosing her sister, we were both comforting each other, and not long ago, she also helped me through the loss of my dog, who I'd had for 14 years... sometimes an animal just touches your heart that little bit more, or does something a little bit more special, and Honey has done that... Honey, I hope Ive done the right thing, I hope you'll be okay, and I hope that you end up living to see Willow grow and grow... but if you don't, if this is my last full day with you, I hope you've been happy, I hope you weren't in pain, and I hope you've enjoyed your six years on this planet, and I hope you'll have fun with Treacle once more... Can everyone and all their piggies please pray for Honey, and cross their fingers and paws 🤞🐾💗

I hope her operation goes well and she has a speedy recovery. Such a gorgeous guinea. Such wonderful, loving words too. 💕

Hoping all goes well for Honey when she has her spay. I'd like to reassure you that I have never lost a sow to spaying. It's a big procedure and they take a while to bounce back but all of mine have recovered.

Thank you Vicki, this is very reassuring, I feel like in my research it's been mostly negative however I'm aware guinea surgery has come on leaps and bounds since the date of some of the stories I've found so that's promising, I just hope this is the right decision, from your experience how long has it taken your piggies to eat for themselves again? ❣️

I think I answered this on your previous thread. It’s varied from Holly who was refusing syringe feed v early (that night) to Poppy who was like a “patient” until day 3 when I gradually reduced frequency & volume to encourage her to eat for herself. All piggies are different.

Oh yeah! I remember now, god knows how Honey will be, she's either a strong independent piggy or a baby 😂😂

20 more paws crossed and healing wheels from my little herd! Even when Theo got neutered I was so worried I was literally sick while waiting for the vet to ring, you must be so stressed, but hopefully by this time tomorrow it will all be over with a happy outcome x

I really hope so, and I guess, if she doesn't pull through, it wasn't meant to be, and maybe she wasn't as strong and well as we think she is... I just can't wait for it all to be over and done with 😞💗
