Ive just taken on another pig. Someone in the local area wanting to rehome her guinea pigs. I wish i could have taken more. They are all long haired and I'm worried they're going to fall into inexperienced and not very good homes or maybe worse. The owner didn't really care where the sow was going. Told me she once had a name but cant remember it? She was in a 2 foot hutch with no protection from the elements squeezed in with 2 others. The water bottle was caked with green from top to bottom (i couldn't see the water line?) and there was no hay! I wish i could have taken them all.... i cried on the way home. I advised about a rescue, but the owner didn't care. This little lady is supposed to be a year old. Shes very boney and only weighs 741g. Shes very skitty and scared about the world. :0:0
She needs a special name...

O__o
I wish I could take them too :( It really upsets me seeing people not look after their animals nor caring on what happens to them if they surrender them.

She is such a beauty I love long haired piggies

What a pretty little girl - looks like a Maizey to me xoxoxoxo

She's beautiful, at least she now has a bright future ahead of her.

This makes me really wish I could drive. Being from Hertfordshire I'd go and pick them up if I could drive.

Thankfully my drivers permit just came through so now I just need to pass.

She's a beautiful girl and I can see the terror with how low she is pressing her body down. My boar used to do that when he was scared too.

THANKYOU x>>x>>x>>

and i hope that you're able to rescue the other poor little babies from that horrible life :...

Gosh i saw her boooooooooootiful face, that little brown blaze up her nose... Princess Blaze x) anyways whatever she gets called she's just adorable! x)

The Piggy Bank is happy to help is the owner is willing to hand them all over to rescue.

Suzy x

Poor baby girl. Lets hope we can get them all out. I thought of a name for one of my girls when I get them. But you can use it for her. Freeda cos of course you freed her. x

Thank you for helping her.

She's a beautiful girl. How about Gloria?

Hopefully if we can persuade the owner handing them over is for the best then teh Piggy Bank can get them somewhere safe with a bit of love and TLC.

Poor girl :'( Things like this make me so angry

What about Hope or Faith as names?

Could you just tell her you changed your mind and will now take the other ones then give them to a rescue? I don't see a reason to be honest with her if it will help the piggies.

The Piggy Bank and it's members will not deceive people - if we did so who would want to trust us in the future.

Well done you for helping her... My mum used to have a pig called "Beauty", seems like it would suit her :) it's horrible when you want to help and can't but I have every faith in the wonderful members of the piggy bank who would leave no stone unturned to help any and all pigs that are in need... Lovely little girl, I'm so glad she now has a much brighter and happier future ahead of her, thanks to you! Hugs! x

Well done for getting the little one out, just hope the others can be handed over also.

Managed to get the others. With a little convincing. She wouldn't surrender the pigs to a rescue, but she would to me. I didnt decieve her in anyway, just said i had the space for a few more (which i do), but didnt tell her that its likely these boys will be rehomed. Unfortunatly the sows have gone, and i do hope to a good home, i'll be so angry if theyve gone to the same state they came from. I'm getting the remaining two pairs of boars out tomorrow. I will let all know how i get on, they will be quarenteened for 2 weeks and then hopefully rehomed. If the PB dont approve of this then i will have to send them to a rescue to be rehomed.

I'll try and let you all know how i get on tomorrow and give some pictures. Although i have a very tight schedule between picking them up and being at work. However, if they are looking unwell in anyway they will be coming with me to work pronto.

I'll keep you posted.

The guinea pig world is lucky that there is kind people like you who are there when needed!

Oh poor little thing. She looks so tiny and scared. I am so thankful you have her and she is going to be loved and cared for.

Still at work. But just to let * all know the pigs are safe. Some very long nails on a couple. And they are litrally climbing the walls in fear. Will all have a bath etc in the next day or so and then maybe to a rescue. x

Well done for getting them out. What matters is that they are safe and will get the care they need. Well done. x
