Whoop :)

Tomorrow I'm going to visit layla and her lovely rescue to get my fifth (but not final!) piggie in two years, i have truely been bitten by the guinea pig bug!

I can't believe its been two years since i brought Harvey and Artie into my life, and they have inspired me to join this forum, which in turn taught me about guinea pig rescues and how i can support people (and the animals) who truely care for their welfare and wellbeing.

I wanted to say a huge thank you to the forum, and its members for being ever so helpful with finding me Percy-Roo and now my new special boy and sharing all the ups and downs of piggie care and rehoming.

Will update you all with a pigture drool tomorrow when i get home with Tabby +1 :)

Gooood afternoon :)

Just to update you alll......we've had a lovely morning meeting layla, and her lovely rescue of adorable piggies....and buns (and her lovely inquistive old girl piggie who looked exactly like Artie,..shame i didnt bring my napping jacket). However we've come home.......pigless! :))

Tabitha and the piggie Emmet she was intended to bond with did not at all like each other, it was rumble strutting, teeth chattering lunging as soon as they set eyes on one another and Tabby rudely bit his bottom!

However, not to be fazed by her sudden dislike in boars we tried her with a lovely cuddley boy called George (lovely ginger boy with pink eyes! x) ) who was very polite boy, and they chatted away together very well, she even allowed him to share a hidey (or attempt too as he got stuck in the entrance - his bottom is a bit squishy!)......unfortuantly George isn't ready to be paired with Tabby until two more weeks as he's recently been neutered.

So we've got another couple of wheeks left for georgey to be ready, and hopefully when we go back up Tabby will still like him and not reject him as she did with Emmet!

Oooo and also, to update i've been thinking about names.....drool.....if we do get the lovely George as hes a rather chubby boy and a beautiful ginger with pretty eyes we were thinking of the names:

Augustus or Gus Gus for short! i think he looks Gus like:)
Quincy / Quin - which means fifth.

Annnnd thats all i have for now.....:)
 
AWWW - naughty girl Tabitha!

All the best for George; but if they got on instantly, they should get on again. ladies can be quite picky in hteir choices, can't they?

I didn't expact her to be so....ermmm.....blunt? She was so calm and accepting with Percy-Roo but i dont know if thats due to him not mounting her (he never or not when i was around mounted tabby only rumblestrutted a little, or teeth chattered if she was in the way!)

A couple more weeks and we can have another journey up and hopefully she wont think 'hmmm nahh ive changed my mind i dont like you' :)) :))
 
oh dear tabitha, you wont settle for anyone less than Mr perfect.

Fingers crossed the second choice is the perfect choice
 
I'm a little confused... Sorry of I sound rude! I'm seriously not trying to be. Di you have tabitha, Percy Roo (adorable name btw) and soon to come George (I like gus gus because of Cinderella) in the same c&c, hutch, cage or room?

No worries my dear, George (gus gus) is going to be my fifth pig. I lost Percy-Roo five weeks ago after he went through three months of various illness, and finally he passed away in his hutch with tabby by his side almost a month ago now. :(

I rescued Percy-Roo from a lovely lady of the forum, who ran a rescue in leeds i just wanted to say a thank you to the forum for helping me again find a special piggie.

As Tabby is now a single lady we thought it'd be best for her to get her a huspig and now we're trying to find her the perfect boar. :)

Ohhh and Gus Gus is from cinderella :)) heehee!

Miss Tabitha you minx...... but i do suppose you had the most gentlepig of a husboar in P-Roo (RIP little guy still missed by your family and us all on here SNIFF)
All paws crossed that Tabby and Gus Gus (love the name and yes the character was tooo cute!) become husboar and wifepig in a few wheeks x)
( i do love weddings awwwwwwwwwwww)

Sooo excited to see her happy and paired up again. Percy-Roo was just amazing and won't be forgotten but whee whish you every happiness with your new hus-boar.

It is indeedy! Its a shame he wasn't ready to go this week, its been a beautiful overcast but warm week so perfect time to go play in the garden!

We've moved the hutch for the summer, so created a little patio/garden for the piggies (going to upload a pic later) and I'm going to make a little memorial patch for Percy-Roo. :)

She is! Her mum was very suprised, and dreadfully embarressed about her behaviour naughty girl!
