:( I am so sad, I got my two boys which are brothers on June 28th and one of them died yesterday, both got diarrhoea, but one was worse than the other, I read everything on here on what to do like stopping greens etc. And making sure they had lots of hay and water but I could tell that one was a lot worse, not moving around much, not eating very much and not drinking and I made sure I had a water bowl and the bottle. It started later on Sunday when I noticed some runny poos so Monday I only gave hay and water and Tuesday I rang the vet's but they were very busy and could only fit me in at 4pm but by 3pm he just died so quick, I have never experienced this before and had no problems with my last Guinea pigs some years back, the only thing that I can think of which could or would have given them diarrhea was a few mixed lettuce leaves, would it have been that? I am keeping a close eye on my boy Bryn but luckily his poos are just about back to normal and he is eating hay and drinking water so that's good. But now he doesn't have his brother by his side, I have already looked into getting another baby boy so that he won't be alone. Bryn is 8 weeks old today and just hope he stays strong.

God I am so sorry for your loss. Unable to say what caused it but if they both had it it was indeed possibly environmental from something they ate.
Please keep an eye on your little lad and if his poos go watery get to vet ASAP
Please feel free to leave a memorial for your rainbow piggy in our rainbow bridge section on the forum

Best of luck finding Bryn a friend also. So sorry once again

Thank you, it was bad enough losing one so I'm glad both didn't die, now I know how fast it can happen I say to everyone one that you should try and get to a vet's as soon as you can because they go down hill fast. Bryn is eating hay like there's no tomorrow and he actually wheeked today, it was so good to hear.
