I had the fright of my life today, and a very valuable lesson learnt :...8...

My boys were out in their run today while i cleaned their cage out and i got Rocky out to brush and clean his fur and when I went back to get Scruffy I saw that he was no longer in the run!

I shouted to my partner and as we are an end of terraced house he went out into the street looking for him as there is a gap under the gate and i looked around our garden and next doors..... haven't felt so scared 8... after frantically looking for him i found him hiding amoungst all our bikes, my little boy was found, thankfully!!

i dread to think of the alternative 8...

lesson is.... to make sure i securely close the door, i thought i had but obviously i hadnt!

so glad my boy is safe and sound back in his cage with his brother.
 
sad event! What a brave little explorer! Glad to hear he didn't get far though. My two ladies are very nervous of new places. They wont go anywhere until you call them over to it! Even the kitchen when I'm cooking. If they think they've over stepped a secret boundary they run straight back to their play corner and stay put. Odd little ladies.
 
So glad you could him. What a wee explorer. You should rename him Christopher!

I will defo be carefully when handling my two rascals or cleaning their cage. They don't tend to stray to far from me, but Patches can have his wicked moments when he feels like a wander, so far, not to far away.

I dread the thought. With the amount of cats around here :( unthinkable!

Oh so glad you found him again!

Had a similar panic today when one of mine was determined he wasn't going to let me brush the tats out of his hair so ran off my lap, down my leg and on the floor in the yard which isn't totally secure.

He was probably laughing away at me trying to coax him out from behind the plant pots with some apple! Thankfully managed to get him safely back in the hutch :)
 
I had a massive scare too today when a cat came on the garden with the guineas in the run :(
