i currently have 3 sick pigs out of 4.. And it just keeps getting worse!

Everyone know fudge, heart failure piggy, was recently disgnosed with close to failing kidneys. Vet agreed i shouldnt give her dioralyte anymore due to potassium in it- which can be problematic for damaged kidneys and even the heart. Since iv stopped it, the protein in her urine (just dipstick) has went from + to ++++. Vet advised me on friday to continue off dioralyte and if high protein levels are consistent then we'll repeat UPC tuesday (1 week since last one) instead of waiting the month. I'm worried iv just put extra strain on her kidneys by stopping it even though the whole reason was to prevent that in the first place!

Crunchie, my IC piggy, peed blood last week but urine tested clear next day at vets. Was advised to hold off with antibs and metacalm. 12 hours later she was peeing blood and a couple small clots- its strange! Shes now on antibs and metacam and, as usual during a flare, shes fine in herself. But I'm expecting another relapse not long after as A friend gave crunchie a large portion of spinach yesterday whilst i was busy with fudge.. By the time i realised, crunchie had already tanned it all bar one leaf! Shes on an IC diet so spinach isnt great!

Then theres mallow.. Last season was horrific, mounting chasing and harrassing the baby. Lasted 7 days, she had to spend 6 of those in a seperate cage. Id try reintroduce her each morning to see if she was out of heat yet (she was totally fine when seperated, just a little grumpy) and only stayed calm with the baby on day 7. Ultrasound revealed "unidentified tissue" surrounding the ovaries. Advised to spay her if it doesnt settle down after next heat or 2. Fast forward 9 days and shes back in heat, literally chasing the baby NON STOP to mount, all within 6 hours of the rumbling starting. She now has crusty nipples too. She is seperated and has spent the past 36 hours making angry/agitated/distressed noises. She isnt happy with friends and she isnt happy without! Trying to give her lap time or floor time and she just makes noise and stands there. Shes active in her cage but more of a "cant stay still" and "cant stop shouting!"... Even when eating!

Think I'm going to just get her spayed this week coming if possible. Shes young enough with no other major health issues, and would regret using injections incase she ended up needing soayed further down the line- shes only 16 months so there would be a good chance that would happen at some point in her life.

Hopefully get a UPC reading on fudges urine to see if were even closer to failure like the dipstick suggests, or not. She popcorned (use the term loosely for an arthritic piggy!) 11 times this morning after her meds.. So I'm hoping it isnt the case

Oh did i mention the dog decorated the kitchen in diarrohea last night too? The vets going to think I'm at it with all these sick pets!

Hugs to you and your piggies. You are dealing with it all really well it's so hard when everything happens at once.
