New Born Pup
Hello,
I wanted to post now I’ve had Kylo and Chewy for a week. They seem to have settled in great with us. I thought I knew what I was doing in terms of piggy care before I got the boys since I’ve had guinea pigs in the past but reading a LOT on this forum has made me realise I had a lot to learn. In the past week we’ve made changes to their space (and gave them lots more room to run!), learnt that the treats sold in pet shops aren’t piggy friendly and started learning the boys personalities. They’ve started wheeking anytime we go into the kitchen and take food from our hands.
My favourite thing so far has been watching the nap spots they find. I know the bars on their playpen isn’t the best as it’s a puppy pen. They are supervised 100% of the time in there but I’m looking at materials to cable tie onto the bars to reduce the risk. They can’t fit through the bars but they do poke their faces through… especially now they’re getting more curious and confident! Overnight and whilst I’m not home they’re in the ferplast cage I originally brought. I will eventually be looking to upgrade to a C&C set up once we’ve moved and the piggies have a permanent spot.

They’ve settled so well!
