Merrypigs Sanctuary
Adult Guinea Pig
One year ago yesterday at about 10.30pm, Cuddles passed away in my arms.
Sweet, sweet girl Cuddles, my little sow-daughter, my soul-pig. So peacefully she went, she wasn't fighting anymore. She had decided to go, it was her time and I remember a sort of certainty about her sweet, smiling face.
Mummy loves you, sweetheart. Always has, always will, and I know we'll see each other again some time. How is heaven, my angel?
I know she still comes to see us. When her song comes on the radio - today, in fact. Once or twice I've thought I've seen a small shape but there's nothing there. Sometimes a white feather drifts down in the garden, and I think of her. She made me so proud, and still does.
Such a clever girl. So gentle, kind and innocent. She knew so much, understood so much. Her little smiling face was always so open and accepting, even though she'd been through a tough time and wasn't in the best of health.
I love you, sweetheart. My little princess, always and forever in her mummy's heart. Keep smiling Cudsie, and watch over us - we miss you.
See you again my love,
Mum.
