Hey everyone,
My beautiful boy Dashiell (Dash) refuses to eat any fruit or veg other than cucumber. He won't even try anything else. His brother Felix eats anything I put in front of him. But Dash is a bit more stubborn with his food. I don't know if when we aren't in the room he eats other things, but when I have him out he only eats cucumber and I've never seen him eat anything else. Should I be worried about this or is this just his food choices?

Hay needs to be the largest part of the diet, so hopefully he is eating plenty of hay. However, if he isn’t eating any other veggies, then there is a chance he isn’t getting enough vitamin c which would become a problem. It’s hard to know what is being eaten with two piggies together though!

As long a he is happy and healthy I personally wouldn’t worry too much as long as he is eating plenty of hay and is not loosing weight. What about grass, herbs and dandelion leaves, most piggies can’t resist them?
He is probably just a fussy eater and you can’t force feed him. I would still put different veggies in his cage as he may learn from his friend to eat a broader diet as he gets older. Some children are like this and they don’t seem to come to any harm x

My boy Finn, when I give him cilantro, parsley, kale, baby carrot, and fruit, he will eat them immediately.
When I give him romaine lettuce, baby spring veggies, celery, spinach, and blueberry, he will save and eat them later. When I come back little later, he finished eating all of them.

He lives in separate cage from Lara so I can monitor what they eat pretty closely. They are indoor piggies so it is easy to see what they eat. He likes to eat but he also likes to take his time.

You could give him some vitamin c drops if you're worried? My pigs like their veg washed and cut up small.
