only eating oat hay

is it safe to feed large amounts of oat hay? i know its not recommended, but my girl della is only interested in oat hay after her surgery, it will only be till shes eating properly on her own but not sure what else to do?

Although feeding oat hay as a long term diet isn’t ideal, I’d personally let Della eat it temporary if that’s all she’ll eat as any hay is better than no hay. It’s alfalfa that shouldn’t be fed to an adult guinea pig
