Omg just got home only to find that the boys bottom door was left open! and they were both still in there! OMG! I am so so lucky! so i gave them an extra treat for being good and staying in , had to give them a once over in case cats got in but all okay! Wont be doing that again!

luckily the hutch was very high! so they wouldn't have jump out i don't think! :) looks like my lovely angels were watching over them! XX

Glad that everything is ok!

Least now you will be extra careful to prevent it from happening again :)

crikey! :o

awwww i bet you nearly fainted!
Aren't they sooooooooo good not to jump out, they deserved their treaties xoxoxoxoxoxo

How scary! I accidentally did that once but mine are indoor guinea pigs. Neither tried to escape and when I returned both were waiting for me standing up. I now leave it open when I'm at home alone as they seem to enjoy standing and looking out.:))

That has happened to me a few times when i used to keep some of my original pigs in hutches. The catches were still and sometimes you thought you had locked it but had not and i would come out in the morning and see the door open and 2 guinea pigs still looking at me from the inside xx

Just reading your thread got me worried so you must have been frantic when you saw the open door. Thank goodness they were still at home! :...

it was around 8pm when i got home so lucky that no other animals got in!

Glynis i nearly did! yes! I am so sure i shut it up! extra carefulness they had some extra hay and extra treats! :) they were happy to see me again this morning they run around like mad! :)
