Ive been learning about genetics of my pet piggies and its ever soo fascinating as to what my piggies have in their background of what i didnt even know of :o ? ;D

I LOVE genetics and I'm going to learn even more about them as i find them soo interesting

so far ive got bits of information on the star gene and how lilacs are the dilute of blacks i think it is

Genetics is very interesting once you get into in and understand the basics of each colour, ridge, rosette etc.

Yes, genetics are interesting to learn O0 I've learnt more rabbit genetics though than guinea pigs O0

What about genetics and illness? I would like to understand more about that :-\

What sort of illness? The only one I really know about is the micropthalmic (lethal) gene that is carried by roans and dals.

I know of osteodystraphy (sp) that affects satins, that has something to do with genetics

I believe bone disease also ? Might be wrong......osteoarthritis being one?
